The SNT-V501 is a compact, high-performance video network station that enables video cameras to be remotely monitored and controlled over a network. The SNT-V501 allows you to easily monitor smooth, near-motion JPEG images at a high refresh rate of 30 frames per second and is equipped with one PCMCIA card slot. Support for a PCMCIA card slot, plus a number of convenient features such as alarm and image transfer functions, enables scalable and effective monitoring operation. Network Monitoring System - The SNT-V501 supports TCP/IP protocol enabling cameras to be remotely monitored and controlled over LAN (Local Area Networks) and WAN (Wide Area Networks). Equipped with a built-in web server, the SNT-V501 allows a PC to monitor live images and control the camera with a standard web browser.
Compact and Lightweight Design - The compact and lightweight SNT-V501 measures just 128 x 40 x 150 mm (5-1/8 x 1-5/8 x 6 inches) and weighs only 650 g (1 lb. 7 o), making it suitable for space restricted environments and rack installations.
PCMCIA Type II Slots - Increase the storage capacity of the SNT-V501 by adding either a flash memory card or an ATA Hard Disk Drive (HDD) card. IC recording media such as Memory Stick™ media with a Memory Stick/PC card adaptor can be used with the SNT-V501. The SNT-V501 is also compatible with certain IEEE 802.11b compliant wireless PC cards.
Alarm Function - The SNT-V501 is equipped with a built-in activity detection function that can generate an alarm through its alarm output ports. In addition, an alarm input port can receive a trigger from an external sensor and a built-in 8-MB buffer, SNT-V501 can store hundreds of pre-alarm and post-alarm still images at the time an alarm is triggered.
RS-232C / 485 Interface - With the SNT-V501, you can control the camera settings and the P/T/Z functions of Sony's popular EVI-D100 and EVI-D70 robotic cameras, and the SSC-DC593 camera series.
