The Driveway Monitor Deluxe with Lamp Controller operates the same as the STI-33372 Driveway Monitor. It detects when a vehicle enters or leaves your driveway and it also can turn on a lamp. The Driveway Monitor Deluxe uses a Solar powered patented magnetometer sensor system. Movement of any large metallic iron or steel object close to the driveway sensor will transmit a signal from the sensor to the receiver, causing the receiver to chime and flash. People, animals and shadows will not trigger the driveway sensor. The driveway sensor works up to 500 feet away from the receiver when mounted to the plastic stake in the ground. To achieve almost 800 feet mount the plastic stake 4 to 5 feet off the ground ie. to a large sturdy post. Additional sensors may be required for wide driveways or to monitor an additional driveway.
